Women’s Only Pistol/CCW Training: Empower Yourself in Personal Defense
Course Overview
The Ladies Pistol/CCW course mirrors the Basic Defensive Pistol/CCW class but is offered exclusively for women. It covers personal protection, including using deadly force in a defensive situation. Designed for those new to firearms, it is a comprehensive course focusing on safety, mindset, and skill development.
Class Requirements & Flexible Scheduling
The course is available upon request with a minimum of six students. It includes two 3.5-hour evening sessions and one half-day at the range. Classes are typically scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Contact us to schedule a class that works for you and your group.
Course Fee & Payment Information
The class fee is $175. Payment is required by check, made out to E.T. Gwynn and mailed to PO Box 3956, Durango. A 20% refund is available if you need to cancel. Cash payments can be arranged in advance. Flexible payment plans are available upon request.
Equipment Needed
You will need your own handgun, ammunition (150 rounds), and eye/ear protection. If you don't have a firearm, we provide loaners. The class will include training in both firearms handling and weapon retention. Ensure you're prepared for the range with weather-appropriate clothing.
What You’ll Learn
This course goes beyond Colorado’s CCW requirements, covering the use of deadly force, mental and psychological readiness in defensive situations, and strategies for making your home, office, and vehicle safer. This training will enhance your personal security skills.
Class Schedule & Duration
Classes meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with range qualifications on Saturday. The range day will begin at 9:00 AM and last a few hours. The schedule may be adjusted for interested students. Reach out for more details.
Course Completion & Certification
Upon completion, you will receive an NRA certificate of safe gun handling. This certificate is necessary when applying for a CCW permit. You'll also gain a deeper understanding of how to protect yourself and your loved ones with firearms.
