Course Fee & Payment Details

The cost for this comprehensive course is $200. This covers range maintenance, class fees, and all necessary training materials. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment, which must be received by the Monday before the class. Payments should be mailed to ET Gwynn at PO Box 3956, Durango, CO 81302. If you're unable to attend, a 20% refund will be provided upon cancellation.

Tactical Pistol Skills & Drills

Level One Tactical Pistol focuses on developing core shooting techniques and defensive skills. The course includes:

  • Safe Gun Handling: Reviewing the Three Rules of Safe Gun Handling
  • Draw Stroke Practice: Mastering the Right-Angle Draw
  • Shooting Fundamentals: Improving accuracy and control
  • Advanced Drills: Shooting from multiple positions (standing, kneeling, prone)
  • Stress Drills: Timed drills to simulate real-life stress conditions

What to Bring to Class

For the Level One Tactical Pistol course, you will need:

  • Firearm: Semi-auto pistol
  • Ammunition: 400 rounds of ball ammo (same grain as your defensive round recommended)
  • Holster & Magazines: Hip-mounted holster (3+ magazines)
  • Eye & Ear Protection: Electronic hearing protection is ideal
  • Other Gear: Knee/elbow pads (optional), comfortable clothing, lunch or snacks

Prerequisites & Eligibility

To participate in this course, students must have completed a Basic Defensive Handgun Course (CCW) either at Wolverine School or through another reputable instructor. This ensures all participants have a basic understanding of firearm safety and handling before advancing to tactical training. The minimum age requirement for this course is 16 years old with parental consent if under 18.
