Requirements for Enrollment
To enroll in Level Two Tactical Shotgun, students must have completed
Level One Tactical Shotgun. This ensures you have the foundational knowledge necessary to proceed to more advanced techniques. The class is designed for those who are ready to challenge their skill levels and are eager to build on their prior experience.
Flexible Scheduling & Full-Day Training
The
Level Two Tactical Shotgun course is
one full day of intensive training. We offer flexible scheduling through our
Red Dawn Range in Durango, CO, and classes are typically held on weekends. Be prepared for a demanding day of training, where you’ll engage in hands-on drills and real-world scenarios that will enhance your proficiency.
Master Advanced Shotgun Techniques
This course covers a wide range of
advanced techniques, including
unconventional shooting positions,
combat mindset,
weapon manipulation around vehicles, and
shooting in confined spaces. Learn tactical reloads, movement techniques, and precision shooting while handling real-life threats and stressors. Students will also practice transitioning to backup weapons and perform in-depth drills.
Essential Gear for Tactical Shotgun Training
Students will need 200 rounds of birdshot ammo, 25 rounds of slug ammo, and a two-point sling. Additional required gear includes eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended), a ball cap, and appropriate clothing for various weather conditions. Knee/elbow pads are optional but recommended for increased comfort during the day’s activities.
Develop Tactical Agility & Combat Mindset
Key focuses include
combat shooting fundamentals,
reactionary competence, and the integration of
mental programming to develop a safe, defensive mindset. Students will push through
stressful drills, including shooting from standing, kneeling, seated, and prone positions, all while learning to make quick decisions under pressure.
