The Beginning Tactical Handgun P-1 course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of handgun operation and tactical shooting. This course emphasizes practical skills development through simulated drills and real-world scenarios, equipping you with the confidence and competence needed for defensive firearm use.
Course Schedule & Enrollment
The Beginning Tactical Handgun P-1 course will be offered on a limited basis with a maximum of 12 students due to the intensive, hands-on nature of the training. Classes are typically scheduled for one or two days, with dates for 2017 to be determined. Mobile instructional teams are also available for those who prefer the course at their own location. Course Fee & Enrollment Information
The cost of the course is $125.00, covering all necessary class materials and range maintenance. If you need to cancel, a 20% refund will be issued, and we’re happy to accommodate schedule changes where possible.
What You’ll Need for the Course
Students will need to bring their own semi-auto pistol, along with 3 or more magazines (6 for single-stack), and a minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition. Additional equipment includes eye and ear protection, a holster, magazine pouches, water storage, and optional knee pads or gloves. Proper clothing for strenuous activity is essential, and the class will be held in all weather conditions, so prepare accordingly.

Prerequisites & Age Restrictions
There are no specific prerequisites for this course, making it ideal for both beginners and those looking to refine their tactical shooting skills. Students must be at least 16 years of age to participate without a parent. Additionally, students must bring a fully functional handgun with no modifications, ensuring it meets safety standards for training. Factory ammunition is required—no reloads allowed.
